Wahls has two mothers, and came to oppose House Joint Resolution 6 which would end civil unions in Iowa.     This is meant to be a lovable thing? Racism and alchoholism? I thought this was meant to be an affectionate parody of redneck Christmas. I guess I don’t get it since I’m not from Texas.

    My sort of of Christmas is a trainquil winter day with family that understands me. I guess I just prefer my holidays without any worries of being struck in the head with a beer bottle.

    OKay, here’s the deal. It’s awesome no matter what. Texas really has fuckin nuthin ta do with it. This is truly ANYWHERE USA. And that my friend, is the true beauty of this work.

    I wish my Christmas was nearly this fun. We are just a bunch a people who love each other but have nothing in common really. My brother and I have taken to sneaking out to the garage to have a beer or two. That makes it more fun for us.

    @jekiwe Gee, I could find the Holiday spirit easy. The Mexican, Everyone’s shocked…then he sings. My guess is he’s got a great voice. Look at them. they all wear his mustache and he’s in the center of all the group shots. Immediate, complete acceptance. Yep, no Christmas spirit there…

    Not my family at all, mine was always very quiet and polite, very Old World. Then I saw this and it dawned on me that these are not the freaks, I am. A friend also pointed out that the tampons are for all the bloody noses from the fights in the back yard…

    We found the book shown at the end of this video at the green valley book fair quite some time ago, it included the cd with this one song. We bought a bunch of them and sent them to our family. Nobody ever mentioned receiving them or thanked us for the gift. I think they were horrified! YA-HA! It bears no resemblance to our family whatsoever.

    Marriage is not a religious institution. No church wedding is legal unless a valid marriage license has been issued by the state. Marriages were not even performed in christian churches until the 11 th century. Many non-relgious people get married evey day in civil marriage ceremonies. Christian fanatics trying to force their primnitive superstitions on everybody is a typical christian tactic to promote their agenda.

    What the fuck is this guy on about?! Who cares if gays can raise good kids… STRAIGHT PEOPLE CAN’T even live up to that standard (so why make it?).. And of course his parents sexuality has had an effect on the content of his character! I sure didn’t do a speech like that in a place like that! I wont be incorporating that into my memory or keeping it as a my little blue secret. He will.     @infideluxe I meant to type marry. I think anyone should have the right to marry whom ever they want. I also believe that there are many amazing parents whose children have never even taking the SATs, let alone scored in the 99%. Does a parent who raised a child who scored in the 83% make them 16% less of a parent? I just don’t think it matters. I get what he was saying. It’s just my OPINION that part of this fine young man’s speech didn’t have to do with gay marraige.

    @itsgordonyadigg so pretty much you’re saying its not fair to let a child be different? that’s the equivalent of you saying that fat kids shouldn’t be allowed to be born, because they will be made fun of, or ginger kids, etc. and everyone gets made fun of at points, some more than others but still maybe the getting made fun of is what has made him so intelligent and successful today
